Metta’s Community Development Service

Community Development Service aims to EMPOWER the villagers, equipping them with necessary skills and building up their confidence to paddle their own canoe.

Education

Provide preschool and after-school learning opportunities and recreational activities for children and youth including teaching biblical values, Khmer literacy, English and health knowledge. Metta also provides financial support to underprivileged  children who want to continue their studies at school.

Morality

Based on the biblical principles to cultivate positive values among the villagers, with the goal of  transforming the culture in the communities and alleviating the poverty situation and begging culture in the poor communities.

Primary Health

Organize health talks to equip the villagers with basic health and hygiene knowledge. Free medical service is also provided regularly to support those who are poor.

Opportunity

Widen the scope of the villagers through different services and the encounters with Metta so as to let them understand that there are many opportunities in life, and they can always make a better choice.

Wealth

Equip women with necessary skills such as handicraft making so that they can earn their own living. Encourage a small-scale farming or provide job opportunities to the villagers so that they can improve their financial situation.

Environment

Convey the importance of a clean and hygienic environment in order to build a clean and safe environment in communities.

Relationship

Through worship and services, we teach villagers about the Bible. We share the good news to restore their relationship with God, the creator. We practice the love of Jesus to strengthen and improve relationships among families and neighbors.
